Save Water. Live TAVA.

“It is rare for EcoSystems to work with a community so committed to both environmental conservation and to their residents. This program will preserve over 100 million gallons annually for future generations  a historic figure for Denver. We are proud to be a part of the TAVA Waters family."

— Richard Lamondin, President and CEO of EcoSystems

Denver’s Largest Retrofit Effort

At TAVA Waters, we know how important it is to put the Earth first, which is why we are happy to announce the largest retrofit event in Denver history! We’ve partnered with EcoSystems, a water and energy conservation company, to retrofit 2,500 bathrooms in our Cherry Creek apartment community with ultra high-efficiency shower heads and toilets — that’s a potential savings of 100 MILLION gallons of fresh water per year!

Why is Water Conservation Important?

While it might not be something you think about very often, or at all, water is a finite resource. That means we need to conserve it now so that our children, and our children’s children, can enjoy it in the future. Unfortunately, Americans waste water at an alarming rate — even without meaning to or knowing we are doing it. In fact, household leaks account for 10,000 gallons of wasted water each year. The most common types of leaks are worn toilet flappers and dripping faucets. Not only is that a waste of resources, it is also a waste of money.

More than that though, more water going down the drain means less waters in our reservoirs and groundwater tables. When water levels drop, there is a greater risk for contamination via both natural and human pollutants, which means more people getting sick from waterborne illnesses.

Why risk it when you can just save water instead?

EPA Water Leaks Fast Facts

  • The average American household wastes 1 TRILLION gallons of water each year

  • 20% of all toilets in the US are currently leaking up to 200 gallons of water daily

  • A shower head leaking at 10 drips per minute wastes more than 500 gallons of water per year

Our Partnership with Ecosystems

To combat the waste of fresh water in TAVA Waters apartments, we’ve partnered with EcoSystems. Founded in 2012 by brothers Richard and Lawrence Lamondin, EcoSystems is dedicated to helping the environment through their WaterWise and EnergySmart programs.

The WaterWise program is highlighted by retrofitted toilet systems and high-efficiency shower heads. Installing adjustable Toilet Fill Valves with pressure clean nozzles and and a newly engineered flapper system allows you to control how much water enters the tank and bowl, while high-efficiency shower heads can reduce water demand by nearly 70%.
