It’s Sunday at 11 AM and you’re hitting the town for a spot to indulge in some over-the-top brunch food with an endless supply of coffee. Lucky for you, the Cherry Creek neighborhood, just southeast of downtown Denver, is busting at the seams with breakfast joints. These four restaurants have us dreaming of eggs benny with a side of extra bacon all week long:
1) Syrup Cherry Creek
What’s better than sautéed fruit, melted cheese on everything, and mom-and-pop-style service? Not much else. That’s exactly what you can expect when you go to Syrup in Cherry Creek. Wisconsin native, Tim Doherty, transitioned from the late night bar scene to delighting the early-morning breakfast crowd – and we’re sure glad he did. Enjoy his award-winning corned beef hash, handcrafted syrups, and even gluten-free options. Don’t forget to wash it all down with a classic mimosa or a fully-loaded bloody mary!
2) Crepes ‘n Crepes
Eggs, chorizo, salmon, Nutella, ice cream, chunks of chocolate… you name it, Crepes ‘n Crepes has it. Fill your crepe with savory or sweet – both menus are expansive! Ten years ago, they started as a small cart rotating around farmers markets. Now, because of so much overwhelming love from the community, they have grown into three bustling locations throughout the Denver area. The restaurant here in Cherry Creek is their original brick and mortar spot. So you can feel good about supporting local business while munching on authentic, French crepes.
Looking for something out of the ordinary for brunch? Snooze takes a unique angle on all your favorite breakfast items, like using a soft pretzel roll for an egg sandwich or upside down pineapple-inspired pancakes. They encourage creativity with orders, so create custom dishes and experiment with flavors! Just when you thought you couldn’t love them more, it gets better. The Snooze team goes above and beyond for their community by volunteering endlessly, donating a percentage of profit to charities, and using responsible materials. This quirky A.M. eatery truly has it all.
Fooducopia calls themselves the “Cornucopia of Goodness,” and they aren’t lying. All of their food is organically grown and hyper-located, gathering produced from local farmers within 5 miles of the location. You’ll taste the difference as you bite into your duck confit hash or crazy berry french toast – the quality and freshness are mindblowing! Check out their website to get a list of all the local growers they use and then head in for some good, honest food. PS. They’ve been temporarily closed for a remodel, but are getting close to reopening soon, new and improved.
